The Kiddush Club will be holding it's biennial
convention in Philadelphia, PA from July 1 to 5, 2009, in
conjunction with the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs.
This will be the 5th time that the International
Kiddush Club has held a convention and once again, the Kiddush Club has managed to aquire complete control of the convention.
In addition to the excellent facilities of the
Loew's Philadelphia Hotel, the convention will be fully catered by
one of Philadelphia's finest kosher caterers. Services will be held each
day, and a wide variety of programs and seminars will be available
to all those attending, whether at Kiddush Club members or FJMC
members.
The Kiddush Club will be exclusively hosting a
minimum of 3 events, which you must register for prior to their
taking place, as 2 will occur on Shabbat.
We hope to include a seminar led by the International
Scotch Society which will include a tasting of some of the finest
single malts. This seminar is planned to take place on Tuesday June 30, and
requires that Kiddush Club members reserve rooms and make travel
plans to be in Philadelphia at least 1 day before the FJMC convention officially
begins.
The second event will be another scotch tasting,
which will be combined with an Oneg Shabbat program on Friday
night. Again, a variety of single malts will be made available,
along with a number of expert opinions offered.
Our third event will take place on Shabbat morning,
when the Kiddush Club will take part in the morning services in
that special way we all know and love. The total cost of any or all
of this program will be $39.99 per person, with all profits being
donated to the Tefillin Fund to purchase kosher tefillin for Jews
in South America who, through economic circumstances are unable to
afford tefillin.
We will be offering advance registration to the
convention through the auspices of the FJMC by using this link.
